Pontiac G8 GXP 2009
March 19th, New York, Pontiac announced the flagship of its GXP performance car series, the G8 GXP high-performance sedan car, at the New York Auto Show. This 2009 model will join the Pontiac Solstice, G6 and Torrent GXP models in Pontiac dealerships in late 2008. The G8 GXP takes the G8's responsive driving experience, refined passenger environment and aggressive good looks to a new level. It also delivers an enjoyable driving experience, thanks to a 6.2L V-8 that produces in excess of 400 horsepower.
The engine of the G8 GXP is the 6.2L LS3 small-block V-8, currently rated at 402 horsepower (300 kW)* and 402 lb.-ft. of torque (546 Nm)* pending final SAE certification. This engine is the newest member of GM's small-block V-8 family. It features a revised, larger-bore cylinder block, high-flow, L92-style cylinder heads; larger-diameter pistons; unique camshaft and camshaft timing; revised valvetrain with offset intake rocker arms; high-flow intake manifold; and high-flow fuel injectors.

2001 Chevrolet Blazer
The Chevrolet Blazer (4WD model T-10) is mid-size SUVs from General Motors. Production began alongside the larger K5 Blazer and Jimmy in 1983 and lasted through 2005. In the United States retail sales after 2004 were limited to two-door Blazer models, all other models being sold to fleets, until April 20, 2005. In the Canadian market, four door models of the Blazer and Jimmy were sold until the 2004 model year and until the 2005 model year for the two door models of both.
The Blazer S-series SUVs, so named because they were based on the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC S-15 pickup trucks, were produced in Moraine, Ohio and Sao Paulo, Brazil (the Brazilian version is based on the second-generation S-series; even though production ceased in the U.S., new Blazers are locally produced in Brazil with their own sheetmetal stampings).

Mazda Ryuga Concept Car
Mazda Ryuga Introduced at the 2006/07 Los Angeles auto show, the Mazda Ryuga is a four-passenger concept Car, according to Mazda, "The Ryuga concept is an exploratory design study that's more realistic than Nagare and therefore more useful in gauging reactions from those who see it," said Laurens van den Acker. "Ryuga adds definition by incorporating a working interior, chassis and propulsion detail that were purposely absent from Nagare."

Lexus LFA Roadster
Toyota has given the LF-A car Roadster concept car the green-light for production. Prototypes of the LF-A have been spotted being tested at the Nürburgring, and the production vehicles are expected to carry V8 engines, putting the car in competition with the Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche Carrera GT. A Lexus LF-A Roadster car has unofficially recorded a lap time on the Nordschleife of 7 minutes, 24 seconds. This is not in dispute. What is in dispute is how many seconds faster the LF-A's lap time is than that of the 2008 Porsche 911 GT2, the previous "King of the 'Ring" record holder. Wikipedia notes that the fastest 911 GT2 driven around the Ring posted a lap time of 7 minutes, 32 seconds.

BMW 2010 V5 Series
BMW is preparing the sixth-generation model to be revealed in 2010. With the 2009 BMW 7-Series freshly unveiled, it seems like a fitting time for a look at the next Bimmer sedan slated for redesign — the 2010 5-Series.
Sources in Europe claim BMW 2010 will move away from the polarizing design of the current model. Already under development with the internal codename “F10,” the next-generation BMW 5-series will soften the harder lines of the current E60 with more conventional-looking headlights and a cleaner front-end design.
The next-generation 5-series is expected to feature an eight-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive option being available. The new 5 will also have Park Distance Control and an around view monitor system, similar to Infiniti’s Around View Monitor.
As is typical of most recent BMW redesigns, this 5-series will add some space between the wheels by extending the wheelbase nearly 10 centimetres and widening the track. The overall length will grow by less than 2 centimetres, while its height will be reduced slightly and its width increased by a fraction. A set of 17-inch wheels will be the smallest available with 18- and 19-inch wheels optional.
When the new 5-Series finally bows — likely in 2010 — it will be available with the same twin-turbo V8 found in the X6. Just as in X6-guise, the twin-turbo V8 will make about 400 horsepower in the 5-series — which would put it in the same neighborhood as BMW’s E39 M5.
It is also believed that the base 5-Series will be available with the same twin-turbo six found in the BMW 335i and 135i.
Also in the works is a more powerful version of the M5’s 5.0-liter V10, possibly sporting turbo technology to deal with the likes of the all-new Cadillac CTS-V.
